... But the deciding factor on choosing this place was the over 18 requirement which suited us. And the daily I kilometre walk down and back from the beach gives us some exercise! However all is not rosy in Paradise. The restaurant in the resort is poor but that problem is easily overcome by eating elsewhere but the facilitates for guests are excellent. So on the balance and when we looked at what else was available and for what price, we decided to extend our stay ...

... beach than in the streets. Food, living etc. is very cheap, only thing I found was a bit more pricey compared to Bali is fake channel, Prada etc. bags.

    Patong overall
One of those places you either love or hate- just like Bali, I cannot compare the 2 and have so much love for both country's, there are just a lot more islands/paradise beaches in Thailand.
Patong isn't the cleanest of country's if you cant handle china town ...

Not far from my hotel is a nice-looking restaurant, set back down a side street. It's a sprawling open-walled establishment with ponds, decks, bars, umbrellas and karaoke. I don't want to do a lot of walking, so I check it out. The prices are a little on the high side, but the ambiance makes up for it.

I'm seated and going through the menu. No vegetarian fare as usual. Hard to find it around here. ...
