The day I had been waiting for had officially arrived. The night we were in Glasgow, Luke and I decided to take our own trip to St. Andrews and play golf on the famous St. Andrews' Golf Course. We took an evening bus to St. Andrews from Glasgow. At first we were on a bus that didn't go all the way to St. Andrews direct so the bus driver let us off at a stop and directed us towards a bus that would take us there quicker (incident #1). This and a million other incidences ...

... and looked out across to the Lothian coast across the water. Then it was inland to St Andrews (winner of beautiful Fife, silver award... what on earth has the gold?!) and the North Fife coast. We parked up on one of the three main streets and stopped for a spot of lunch before ...

... We have some accomodation booked as well as lots of golf.
The ipod is fully charged with music, audiobooks and back episodes of The Archers!
As super organisers nothing is left to chance and spreadsheets have been created to make sure we are in the correct place on the right day. No freewheeling for us!

Tow truck 1, turns up at 11:50 to take me on the first leg of the journey home from Fort William to Stirling. This takes approx 3 hours and I get dropped at Stirling service station where I am supposed to be met by the next tow truck. It takes about an hour for the next truck to turn up. Which was arranged for 14:30

... with Karen & Paul when they visit first week in April. We also popped in to the Bank in Stirling to deposit our HSBC bank draft, which went quite well! We got our new bank cards today which are called Visa debit (!). Tried to apply for credit cards, but she said we would get declined at this point because we don't have enough "action" on our accounts. So, we will have to spend, spend, spend on debit cards to get some serious action and therefore a credit rating.

... in the camp shop in Aberdeen. The great inflatable mattress we brought with us has picked up a slow puncture that we have been unable to locate. After six we arrived in Perth, found a toilet as our bladders were exploding and had a look around for a hostel. Guess what, there are no hostels in Perth. We asked a South African guy we met on the street about hostels or where the tourist information was and he told us that when he came there a year ago he was just like ...

... are ever in Scotland you have to try these cookies, they're awesome. We (Becky, Amy, Amilie and me) went to dinner at Varsity which is a uni bar, the meals are big but the price is cheap. And later we walked to tesco for ben and jerrys ice cream. Yum! Today we're off to see the sights of stirling before i fly back to London this evening do begin my slow connection of flights home. ... because it makes such a difference. Tomorrow we head out on the action projects around Scotland, which aim to actually make a difference as well as talking about it. Some are refurbishing flats for homeless people or computers for Africa, lots involve environmental rehabilitation. I'm going to Falkirk to make a film about their environmental sustainability initiatives. Right now though I'm going to go and have a nap because in case you can't tell I'm feeling a little cranky myself.
