... is not really a speed demon, but the slower pace suits us fine as we are in no hurry... it also conserves fuel which is important considering the distance we will be covering over the next few months. So we don't really go faster than 50 mile/hr (80km/h for the aussies at home) and we avoid the motorways as there generally is ...
Lyme Regis, England, United Kingdom darrenhough74... we went into the club. Where they were just finishing off the kids club show. We had a three piece singing group and then two comedians. I think the entertainment startedabout 9 and went through till about 1. In the club they had a kids amusement centre, with pool tables, dance machines and arcade games.. we went through a lot of 2p coins than night!! I was really surprised at the amount of entertainment there. A lot of fun for a big kid like me!!
Poole, England, United Kingdom sares12So after driving for a bit after leaving Stonehenge and we though it was time to something else. so when we saw a tourist sign to Stourhead we decided to follow it even though we had no idea what it was.
WOW!! These gardens are lurvely. If you get a chance you gotta come here.
Now I wish we had followed the earlier sign to Drogo Castle - found out latter that would have been pretty nice too.
... informando.
After 6 years sharing our lives in this small town in Somerset, finally we left the country to return to Spain. But as you can see, there won´t be a direct flight, we will deviate a little, and let's go around the world in 60 days. We will keep reporting
... see friends in Cheltenham on the way back. We're not in Brian, so perhaps it's cheating to be writing on a blog called 'Life in Brian'?!
Our travel plans:
We're heading off into France, probably from Calais, at the end of October. Current thinking is that we'll travel roughly down the west coast of France, hopefully coming inland and stopping off to see some friends before we ...
After a lovely couple of days with Art & Thurza Comben when on Sunday the drive over from Christchurch was fine and sunny we found a Vintage Motor Cycle run from Britbits in Iford with a Wurzal lookalike group playing live and singing "Drink up thee Cider Garge", gorgeous and in beautiful weather we got to Crewkerne in time for a late lunch.
Monday Lona & Thurza were dropped off in Yeovil to shop while Art ...
... of these days I am sure we will plan something and get it right. We were three parts there and saw an MOD sign saying village closed!!! We thought we would cycle on anyway and see if we could sneak in! Alas a few miles ahead of us we ran into the beast!!! A 20% hill!!!! Half way up my heart was threatening to bounce right out of my chest and my lungs were about to explode when Dee said to me "Do we really want to cycle up here if the ...

Since that visit we have always dreamed that we would one day return, hopefully more able to avail ourselves of the different forms of transport. During those years a chap came into my little shop and chatted about having lived in Switzerland and about what we had missed! He invited me to borrow his videos showing the Swiss Railways systems in all their glory. From then on we were compelled one day to go back !
So this is the travelog of our return to Switzerland ...

So this is the travelog of our return to Switzerland after nearly 40 years!
We decide that rather than take our car again, we would go by rail ...
Today we went to 'Wareham' and saw an old church (to do with Lawrence of Arabia). We looked at some shops and then went to visit Richard's Grandma again in Swanage. After an hour there we drove to 'Chisel Beach' (a beach well known for its 'little pebble' shore - instead of sand, there a pebbles). It was really windy and lightly raining the whole time. We caught 32 fish, not including ...
