... mud mid calf. We walked up hill again around the lake to find a clear spot. We ended up using the boat ramp to wade around. It was so refreshing and soothing to our tired bodies. We came back to camp only to find a mess. Logan's food bag had been opened and his wallet was on the ground. Empty wrappers littered our campsite and many Epic meat bars were completely missing. OFF ALERT! booked travel for friend, bought insurance, canceled travel,
was given credit with Delta and then sent an email saying that a $200
penalty would be applied when credit was redeemed. The insurance will
supposedly reimburse the $200 penalty after it is paid. What kind of a

... U.S. side of the border, with few people and little going on....while the sound of music, singing, and people laughing drifts over from the Mexican side. Their culture is different, and they do seem to have a happy life. No fence can ever hide that.

... the bus time but, most fortunately for us, she had a friend visiting her who spoke excellent English and said she had a friend she could phone to see if he could take us, for a price of course but we were willing and so was he (hooray!) He turned out to be her husband, a great guide and a real cowboy - he was quite tall so needed a pretty big truck as real cowboys NEVER take their hats off, especially not to drive :-)
