      But I made it!!!

      The ride back ended up being so much fun! Steep hills and the occasional headwind made it a challenge. For the most part it was fast downhill, hardly any traffic, and a sweet tailwind on some of the hills!       ... I smiled a little when I saw some small birds attacking him later in the day. We decided that tomorrow Brian will get picked up by friends in the morning. Logan and I will unload some weight with him and try to make it to Sonoita. Hopefully Brian will be able to pick us up after his friends shuttle him to his car. It's going to be a rough day tomorrow. Most of it will be downhill but I feel like there's a good chance of a strong headwind. Not to forget the pretty gnarly ...

      OFF ALERT! booked travel for friend, bought insurance, canceled travel,
      was given credit with Delta and then sent an email saying that a $200
      penalty would be applied when credit was redeemed. The insurance will
      supposedly reimburse the $200 penalty after it is paid. What kind of a
      SCAM is ...

      ... and water spots for birds on the fence of their patio, so the show of feathered-folks was ongoing. We visited until well after dark and headed back home. The moon is fairly new and is easily viewed in these dark places. The sky in the desert is a joy to see. With the clear air and lack of light, the heavenly objects seem to jump out at you. It's a great place to be!
