... a tuk tuk from there to the Grand Park Hotel and had afternoon tea and tried to dry off before setting off for the Muslim Quarter again. Spent a few hours walking around seeing the food stalls. Found a tiny shadow puppet theatre inside an old private house and watched a performance which was fun. Ate crispy fried bread filled with beef and sprung onion in a Muslim Cafe. Early Sunday morning, our flight from 厦门 (Xiamen) to 西安 (Xi'an) departed around 6:45AM. It took about 3 hours total with a 10 minute stop at Wuhan. It was interesting because I've never had to get off at a stop just to get back on in a few minutes! We flew with Xiamen Air and they served us snacks, steamed bread with meat/vegetables inside (similar to 包子) ...

... the crowds and find ourselves at the entrance, yay we made it. One slight error we made before making this journey was that we forget to go to a cash machine, so having paid for our tickets and audio guides we had exactly the bus fare home and that was it, no snacks or drinks for us then! We got into the complex and for some reason following the crowds let us down as we ended up lost in the museum for a good thirty minutes wondering where the heck ...
