    ... They were from the village while the girls came from other parts of China. Spent the rest of the evening in the reception/lounge room part of the house using wifi and not doing much at all. So quiet. Not many guests maybe four others. This is a place we will always remember. And it is a place which will not remain as it is now for long.     ... top, I lunch at a small hotel, am invited to eat with some locals after finishing, and finally am told I don't need to pay anything by the staff, who won't be reasoned with. Thanking them, I leave and reach the pass, which is shrouded in cloud, an hour later.

    ... were now ready to head out! We said goodbye to the giant hostel dog, Peter, ate the vegetarian tacos at Cafe de Jack for the 3rd and last time and grabbed some baba bread for the road. All in all, our stay in Dali was 4 nights/5 days by the time we got everything done! Much longer than we had planned. Feeling like we needed to make up for lost time, we decided to take the 15 hour night bus south to Xishuangbanna.
