We decided not to catch the metro but walk through the city, it is more interesting that way. We then visited the Duomo for an inside look. We took the audio tour, visited the crypt and found a cardinal Alfredo Ildefonso Schuster who was honoured for his contributions. He might be related! We then decided to go up to the roof of the Duomo ( ... Steps). What ...

... return our security deposit, and to call Jane "the perfect wife" - not like those Nowegians from a couple of weeks ago who left such a terrible mess.

... sounds nice and it's only thirty kilometres further along the lake. We set the GPS and follow the instructions and road signs.

Now, Lake Como looks to be a glacial remnant lake in the bottom of a deep valley surrounded by steep hills. It appears magnificent from a distance ( we don't know how it looks close up). We drive and the road narrows, twisting along century old streets making a slow torturous path toward Bellagio. It narrows ...
