... into the cathedral. Only cost 2 euros each and that gave us entry to the Cathedral and the Museum. There were also other options, but this seemed the easiest to start with. While we were waiting in line, a number of female tourists were turned away from the cathedral line because of their inappropriate dress. They are pretty strict at the door - no short shorts, dresses have to be only two fingers above the knee, no shoulders showing. It was all pretty funny - and ...

Lake Como, it has to be said, is huge. The water is clear and deep, and in the morning sun, it kind of looks like a grey, teal colour. Very unique. I knew as I was leaving Milan, heading to Venice, I was about to have a life changing experience.

For this morning we had booked in (by internet from Australia more than a month before) to see Leonardo Da Vinci's Last Supper in the refectory connected to the Church and Monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Small groups are only allowed in for 15 minutes to help in the preservation of this masterpiece. Kerrie had been really looking forward to this important work by Leonardo. We were both very moved when we saw it and it brought Kerrie to tears. Although the ...
