... step over with their right foot and men with their left! Next we went to a genuine street market. Everyone out for their Sunday constitutional with lots of food shops and a real squash. Usual smells and vistas. Then off to Eling Park where the wartime British Embassy is now a car park. The guide pointed out the spot where Madam Chiang took her early morning tea but interestingly not Chiang Kaishek's home. Guess he's not that popular these days! ...

... After meeting our guide Johnny, he took us to Dolce & Gabana in the basement, which had a grocery store. Prices were really high. A package of cherries was $16.00. The wines were upwards of $40.00 or more but we found one that was on sale, two bottles for the price of one. We shared with Thomas so it worked out okay.

... of china. I'm starting to miss Jon's mums Sunday dinners now! We chose the cheaper tourist option and travelled on a non English speaking boat. Straight away your thinking why would you do this?! Well we were up for the challenge and plus it saved us around £300! So we ventured onto a bus full of Chinese people looking at us as if we had got lost! With your chopsticks, you place a piece of meat or vegetable into the Hot pot to cook. Once it's been there for about 5 minutes, it should be ready to take out and dip into your sauce concoction. ... and it has a lot of choices unlike most restaurants here, where you have about 10-15 dishes to choose from. I eat the same thing every day, and rice and noodles get pretty old. I proposed the solution to heading to Big Pizza and Alexi obliged, and two students came with us (one of them is ours, another not).

The first great thing about this was that Alexi and I taught an accounting student and good buddy of mine, Zachary, some American "street language" ...
