BAD NEWS!
So far everything has been going swimmingly, the right stamps issued by the right departments, just one more to get, and Ted rang to say he wants to meet at Gregs apartment...
The last government department said NO to Teds application to sponsor a Z visa and residence permit application. No explanation, I meet or exceed their requirements, no reasons listed for the declined application... Just No.
So I am on a job hunt again!

Arrival at last.
... relating to my new job. Ted was happy when he came back to the car with them.
Ended up in Fenghua a half hour drive south of Ningbo where the school is located. My new workplace is a franchise branch of the Shanes English Schools network. I have a little one room apartment until the teacher I am replacing leaves and I move into his emptied apartment.

Ningbo is a city of rivers, and subsequently, bridges. As we were near the apex of this bridge, we saw what appeared to be a fairly minor traffic accident involving three cars. A bit more than a fender bender, but probably not life threatening. I used the opportunity to whip out the word for "calamity." It seemed appropriate.
