... ich wieder weitergereicht, an ein Maedchen aus Shanghai, die verspricht, mich in den richtigen Zug zu setzen. Mir bleibt gerade noch genug Zeit, den anderen zu danken, dann sind sie schon weg. Wenig spaeter werde ich nochmal weitergereicht, an zwei Amerikaner aus Beijing und ich fuehle mich endgueltig wie ein kleines Kind, umsorgt, obwohl ich doch nicht einmal jemanden um Hilfe gebeten habe. First few days in China
... and cameras everywhere you looked. We all took pictures for a while, and then I asked a Chinese lady to take a group picture of us. We had to hurry back after that in order to catch the last train. Even that late at night(around eleven o'clock) the subway was packed. Factory tour
... but neat nonetheless. Overall good experience with all that. Korean BBQ dinner tonight. Again I was able to eat as they brought no shellfish to our table and it was BBQ pork and some lettuce/veggies you could wrap it in. Good meal and glad I tried it. Tomorrow Dave and I get our own personal tour guide (and a driver) that will be taking us to the Great Wall and then the Hidden Palace. Beijing - Kathmandu

First Day in Beijing!
... before we arrived laying the cornerstone at the new location. They had also "adopted" two girls from the orphanage. When you adopt children from the orphanage, you let them stay at the orphanage but provide support for their studies after they finish school at the orphanage. This couple had their girls stay with them over the summers, and now they are funding their school.
