I nearly called this the nothing day, but I seem to find something to waffle on about even when little is happening. We disembarked the boat around half seven and took an hour long bus ride to Yichang to arrive around half nine. I'm aware the maths doesn't add up. Funny that. ... We then headed to Yichang, our port to board our river ship for the Yangtze cruise. The ship was not in Yichang as expected, but a further 60 odd kms by road to the boarding point. We had to split into 2 groups because the buses were full. Leonie, Amanda, and Bill went in the bus with the local cruise workers; the girls reckoned the last time they were purved on as much was when they were in their twenties!!! Next train – off to Wuchang. I wasn’t aware that I had made a
mistake on my itinerary until my very nice seat mate discovered that I
would be in Wuchang for the night. He then proceeded to tell me that
Wuchang is the largest industrial city in China – about 50 million

... suppose to sit on these toilets!! Anyway the concert was quite good even though between each song the composer found it appropriate to talk to the audience (in Chinese) for a good 10 minutes. We had no idea what was going on!!
After the concert we all went back to the crescent opposite gate 2, enjoyed beer and street food and mosquitoes!!!
Tuesday 11th just chilled out in the day and then we had the start of English corner that night at 1830-2030. ...

So Friday the 7th September was the first time I taught 100 Chinese students English and its not something I am going to forget for a while!! Firstly I had my D class, they were, well hmm not interested at all and there level of English is low so it was very difficult to start with but once I had introduced myself and they introduced themselves everybody was more relaxed including myself so it went well (i hope it did anyway!)
