We're being financially b!$@%slapped in the UK at the moment so the rush of tourists you saw flocking to NYC for weekend breaks last year won't be repeated this year. The £ vs the $ has also tumbled by $0.40 in that time as well.

It'll make me look for cheaper places to visit yes. But I had no plans to visit that side of the world anytime soon anyway.

Hmm not sure really. Flights to South America are pretty much out of the question as they are stupidly expensive. It's a lot cheaper to fly east plus reasonably cheaper once there.

Yes definitely To stay in Europe in the hotel is quite cheap ,and inexpensive and you get perfect accommodation of your choice.
