Hi all,
we are 3 fairly experienced travellers and have travelled often in (West) Africa. We now want to drive from Lagos, Nigeria to Europe and everything seems pretty staight forward until Senegal.
However with the latest developments in Mauretania we think getting through there as quickly as possible might be a good idea.
Anyone nows whatr the minimum of time necessary might be? (We travel in a Toyota-4Wheel and we are three male drivders)
Thanks for any input!

Are you talking about the kidnapping of the Italian couple?

Scary!

I found a blog of some people who are doing it right now: http://www.travelpod.com/travel-blog-entri...45413/tpod.html

It looks like it took them 4 days to get from Nouakchott to Bamako. They found themselves protected by a police convoy the whole way.
