I am trying to budget better for my air travel. I have used people who bought in Bulk before travel agents you know, I need a new source. People are becoming un negotiable. With the airlines going broke it would appear to me they would be begging for passengers. Am i looking in the wrong places please make suggestions.

Try the TravelPod search engine:
http://www.travelpod.com/cheap-flights.htmlThe search engine compares flight prices from a few hundred over web sites.
If you are on a REALLY tight budget, I've heard of courier services which will pay all or some of your flight abroad if you take a package with you. All legit...

If you could mention the country that you are beginning with, it would make life easier to start with

I have tried to look into those courier services but have had no luck. Do they all require that you "join" some organization? Has anyone actually met anyone to do this kind of travelling?
Seems it would be perfect for backpackers...

Here are a few I found:
http://www.courier.org/http://www.couriertravel.org/It does seem that you need to be a member... depending on the cost it might be worth while though.

Me and my husband have recently made a webpage where you can get discount travel coupons. We are currently only advertising Northwest Airlines as it seems to be harder to find other airines. Or to find coupons for other airlines that have electronic coupons. Thought I would share the site with you all
http://nwatravelcoupons.tripod.com/ Thanks and let me know if you have any questions.

HI there,
In 1996, I wanted to go from Toronto to London,UK. I contacted one of those airline courier companies you mention and they did indeed fly me to London.
I was slightly dubious the whole time but in the end it was all legit. I had to meet their rep at the Toronto airport so I could sign for the baggage I was taking for them and that was about it.
I wish I could remember the name of the co.
Probably have it somewhere.

i use
http://www.lowfares.com/ to find
cheap flights . i really like the idea that one can pull up 3 agencies at a time to compare prices.

I've recently started using
www.kayak.com. I find that it compares most airlines, even more so than the normal flight comparison sites, and really gives you great deals...

I've used Kayak religiously for the last 2 years! Skyscanner is also good for European mini-breaks.

Try
wisetravelsearch.com as well, it searches both kayak and skyscanner.
