Hi,
As the title says, I'm a US citizen who lives elsewhere and returns now and again to the states to visit family - and I've always run the risk of not having insurance each time I go back. I'm not covered by work and I can't find any kind of travel insurance that will cover me in my home country...
Anyone else in the same situation with suggestions for companies that will cover short-term (i.e. 3wks)?
Thanks for any ideas (and I'm cross-posting in a couple of branches cause I'm not sure which is the best for this topic?).

Try having a look at the World Nomads policy available through Travelpod (see the link at the top of the screen.) It's a long shot but I found them really useful, as well as the only company that would insure me.
Good luck..

thanks, but have tried in the past with them to get coverage while in the US and they don't do policies for your official country of residence (should've said i'm a US resident, as i don't think citizenship has anything to do it) , so won't work for me. have used them loads in the past for travel, tho.

Ok gotchya. Try the
AA, I just did a dummy quote and it looked reasonable, more importantly they didn't appear to want to know your country of residence..
Worth a look?
