i was in Kiev in november, without a lot of time to sightsee on a business trip, so I couldnt make everyhing that I wanted. The postings and articles I've read here and elsewhere make it sound like it is not the easiest city to get around in a time crunch by someone who cannot read the language. I was a bit hesitant to use the subways, not knowing how to read the language and not wanting to end up in the wrong place! It sounded like above ground transportation can be a nightmare because of traffic. Sites of interest seemed spread apart, when I looked at the map.
but everything was great upon my arrival. i stayed at very good gotel and would recommend it to everyone, especially for those who are on business trip. it's President hotel. I know that nothing is perfect, but all in all hotel is very good. Good taste in décor and furnishing, all is renewed recently, kind staff which truly went above and beyond their responsibilities whether it was offering directions or making calls on my behalf. Spacious room, modern bath, comfy beds. So, I look forward to staying there next time.
because of lack of time i havent seen everything i wanted..... but all in all ukraine, and to be precize - Kiev, made very good impression
can wait to come back. your country is great, Sergey, be proud clapping.gif

Of course! flowers.png

Well, there are a lot of places I like in Kiev!
I enjoy to overview a magnificent view of Dnipro river and left bank of Kiev at the viewing point near the Park of Glory. This place is the best for romantic dates, especially at summer nights)))
A perfect place “to think about eternity” is a territory of St. Sophia Cathedral (especially at daytime on summer and later spring).
Beautiful parks (a chain of the most beautiful parks in Kiev - Mariinskiy and Khreshchatyi) – at weekdays this parks are almost empty, you can even meet here some mothers walking with their kids)) This is a good place to escape from the bustling life of the city!!!!!
