just wondering if any cat can give me some nightlife advice for Kansas city

I want to start in a quite jazz bar then head off to a place where i can meet some intelligent locals that can hold a good conversation followed by a bit of clubbing?

sorry to sound a bit arrogant but... im staying in st Joesph at the moment and not really impressed...
