Nice list! I am a list junky... and Maine is so close to me, it's tempting to go back again.

We have had such lousy weather this year, we finally seem to be able to put a few rain free days back to back, and man have the streets filled up all of a sudden. For me, a place I have always wanted to go and explore in Maine is the Baxter State Park area, maybe even do the Appilation trail - the part that runs through Maine, anyways. We have friends that tried to do the entire trail this year, but just got word that they are calling it quits in New York.
