How do I get the URLs for individual photos in my travelpod?

When I open individual photos in my travelpod using internet explorer I can't see the address bar, and am evidently too blonde to find it elsewhere...
kris
right click on your pic then go to properties at the bottom

So someone already sited this one. I will post it as the first entry. Please use the INSERT IMAGE button the the toolbar (the one with the little tree) to make it easier for everyone to view your submissions.

This is a photo called Blue Tahiti by jasonncaryn. Nice work!

OK, I like where this photo idea is going so I thought I should contribute. And since scottwoz was kind enough to nominate one of my entries for 'Best Entry' it seems fair to nominate one of his photos. There's alot of great photos in his travelpod, so here's one of the ones I like best which is on his opening page:

Although not suitable for a calendar, I also like the one on his front page of that cute girl looking at him with a sense of fear...It's funny.

Scott, any advice for setting up a decent photo montage like that? I dig it, but seems like some thought must have gone in to proportions, etc.?
kris
this is a nice pic of mt. Bromo and it's surroundings lifted from Trent ..i'm sure everyone remembers technotrekker standing in front of it.. it looks so jurassic i'm waiting for a Pterodactylus to fly past and it's definitely been put on the cards as a must see for me..

the actual link to the travelpod entry is Here

Cheers Si, I stood there for ages at the time, it was magnificent.

Regarding the montage, the original idea came from technotrekker, so he deserves every bit of the credit, not me. I just wanted to put something up on my travelogue until we get an 'intro/welcome' page.

As for the resizing, it depends on your pics and is just a case of messing with the widths. You don't have to worry about changing the heights as they take care of themselves (luckily.) Just play around with it. At first it's a complete ball-ache of a job but it soon comes together.

Oh and she was right to be afraid!

This is my pic. I took in Toronto, I have no idea what is the name of the church, but I thought it was a nice setting. Hope you like it,
Caro!

That is a great photo. I'd like to see a follow-up where you're lifting the boulder above your head.
whereshegoes
When you guys make me laugh like this in cafes, people look at me funny. Are you trying to make them think I am crazy? Um...yeah, prolly rofl.png too late.
siscri
That's fantastic. Identify yourself, guest. Are you stevefn? I'm very impressed.

How about making it look like Lily Allen is God (which I currently think she is) and smiling down on this amazing physical act?
ScottWoz
Absolute class! Some of those fiord pics are amazing Steve!
stevefn
Hi siscri,

It wasn't me who posted it. I could probably lift the boulder easily, but you know how I am with heigths...

Cheers,
Steve

Great pics Steve! I've just been to Norway myself and saw many a postcard of Kjeragbolten...thankfully I was heading north rather than south as I get nervous looking at it, nevermind actually being there! Luckily there wasn't any breeze... hyper.gif

There's a few albums worth of India there. Tremendous country for photography - people, views, statues, life ....

Wow...these colors are absolutely stunning! What camera are you using Adrian?

And Spooky- Try using the little square with the tree button on the tool bar. Just copy and paste your image location in there...

Um, too be honest, I can't remember until I look at it?!?! think its an Olympus Digital thingy about 3.2meg, but with a 10 x digital and 3 x optical zoom, which works a treat. I'll pull it out and check.... tend to find it doesn't matter about the camera if you subject is good and your composition is in order.

I did a two nite camera course about 3-4 years ago, and learned an amazing amount in such a short amount of time. I reckon you learn about 70% about decent photography in two days, and then could spend years learning about the remaining 30%, so the basics are real handy.

One thing I was taught was to scan the composition (if you've got time, of course no good in that 'once in a lifetime' photo moment) by running your eyes around the border before you take the photo to make sure nothing is out of place. I thought it was a crock until I got to India - the number of times I went to take a photo, only to scan the border to find someone going to the toilet in the background corner! Seriously! Mind you of course with digital you can edit afterwards...

(Suggestion - photo of the month competition, but pick a specific continent for each month... and maybe split Europe into east and west)
ScottWoz
Well for a little 3meg digi, those pics are great. And the colours are superb. A worthwhile course there!

Wow, these pictures are great. Steve, I especially love yours. I was scrolling down looking at all of them and I had to stop and said, "Wow!" at yours. That's awesome.

This is one of mine. It's not great, but I like it. It's the entrance to the Emerald Island Resort down in Florida at sunset.

By 'montage' do you mean panorama - a sequence of shots stuck together to form a really wide view? If so I can explain, if not, ???!
ScottWoz
No mate, I meant the random series of summary pics on the welcome page..
crazycanuck
hey Thellie, regarding the ice cubes:
less heat =less smell
this helps especially if someone has eaten asparagus:)
i hope no one walked in on you when you took that pic-might have been a little awkward:)
