In many pictures about Japan's panoramic scereny, I see MOMIJI appeared everywhere, really love it

Maybe MOMIJI is Japan's feature so when come to Japan, it's undeniable that I will take a photo under momiji tree.

Hi everyone,

the top 10 list is great... for those who dont know much about Japan.

How and who decided this top 10? It's like deciding the top 10 food from around the world.

I do not think it's this simple. Different people, different opinion.

I've been to most of the onsens on this list and I have to say that I like other onsens more... no question, the list is great but...

By area I prefer:

Private Onsens in Atami the best at sunrise.
Onsens in Arima are the best in spring.
Onsens in Nagano are the best in summer.
Onsens in Hakone are the best in fall.
Onsens in Takayama are the best in winter.
Onsens in Gero are the best after skiing in the area.

My personal favorites:

Nigorigo onsen is best for your skin.
Dogo onsen to relax.
Kinugawa onsen to enjoy nature.
Noboribetsu onsen to refresh your mind.

I have tried some hot springs in Japan and personally recommend Nyuto Onsen of Akita. I have never heard of a few hot springs on the list, which encourages me to try more hot springs.

Kinosaki is the best place to go, in my opinion. Lots of option, easy access from the Kansai Airport, and the food is just amazing. A wonderful alternative for those who already went to the big cities, like Tokyo, and for those who want to see another side of Japan. There are cultural heritage sites located nearby, located around Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe.
