Hi everyone I am currently living in Calgary, Canada and I am Greek.

I have been to Greece 4 times now to travel and work with different organizations with refugees and immagrants from countries around the Medi Sea.

NOW I want to backpack and "dissapear" to somewhere with my best friend for a while and really experience the simple and basic things in life and the world. SO my ORIGINAL plan was to go back to Greece since i know the language and the land, plus the wheather is, well, "better" than Calgary.... lol

But I really would like some ideas of where ELSE to go, and settle in for a couple months!
Any suggestions are welcome we are both young, and by young I mean I will be 21 in the summer and my bro will be 19. At one point we had an idea to go to China and jsut live there, working for our room and food, up in the mountains of course and villages. To get back to simple life away from "America" if anyone knows what I mean, I would really value anyone's input, even if you advise me to stay and work, haha.

oh, haha and money is no object in ideas. let'er rip!

Thanks, pce and love to all, and to all a good flight. wink.gif

I've never been to Greece, but until you get an answer, check out some blogs first and see what you think.

I recommend going somewhere out of your comfort zone...somewhere you've never been before...learn a new language...meet a new people.

I'd recommend South America, it's fairly cheap, the people are extremely friendly, and you can get a simple as you want (you can try your hand at working a sugar cane plantation that supplies a cachaca distillery)
