hiya
I'm off on a motorbike ride through northern Europe on Friday and am trying to find some nice roads and perhaps some nice motorbike friendly places to stay. My rough plan is;

15/8 London-Harwich, UK
15/8 Harwich- Hook of Holland (ferry)
16/8 Hook of Holland- Germany (Hamburg?)
17/8 Germany- Middelfart, Denmark
18/8 Middelfart- Copenhagen, Denmark
19/8 Copenhagen- Malmo, Sweden
20/8 Malmo- Jonkoping, Sweden
21/8 Jonkoping- Falun, SW

25/8 Falun- Norway (stop in Oslo?)
26/8 Oslo- Stavanger, Norway
28/8 Stavanger- Newcastle, UK (ferry)
29/8 Newcastle- Leicester, UK
30/8 Leicester- London

I'm not to keen on motorways for obvious reasons but don't want to make too big detours either.
Has anyone got any tips?

Did you try using Google Maps? You can select "avoid highways" and it will take you through some awesome detours...

If that doesn't work, just break out the old road map and highlighters! You'll find something interesting, I'm sure.
