I'm Irish and am travelling SA at the mo. I'm hearing nothing but good things about Columbia and am hooked on going there. As those of you who can help me will know people travelling on Irish passports need to apply in advance for a visa. I'm planning on applying for mine through the Columbian embassy in either Lima, Quito or Caracas. I've heard that the granting of the visa is a bit hit or miss. Can anybody give me some advice as to how to improve my chances e.g. which of the embassies mentioned would be best to apply through? Also how long does the processing of a successful application take?

HI Irish, fist of all let me tell you that it is COLOMBIA, not COLUMBIA. About the Visas I have no idea how to do it, but I'm Colombian and if really want to go, I can advise you about Bogota, and other cities! Good luck with the visa, and remember it is COLOMBIA with and O.
