Hello, I was on here a while ago with a ridiculously long plan for 3 months in India. After all your help and advice I have come up with a plan that I think will be much more manageable than the original!
I have been checking this site and other and using my Rough Guide & Map to sort it into order. I’m starting in Rajasthan and then down to the South working my way back up the West coast.
After checking as far as I can I have worked out how to get from A to B for some of the places but I am a little lost on some of them.

I know I may not be able to fit it all in but that’s cool, just want an idea of where I want to head.

I was wondering if anyone can help fill in the blanks (or all the question marks)?
I am arriving at Delhi on New Years Day 09 and return home 27th March 09.

I dont expect anyone to know all of these for a moment, but i though if anyone can help fill in one or two blanks it will help.

Also im not setting this in stone, i know India is a place that you have to let what happens happen but im a bit of a planner im trying to see what i can fit in if i get the chance.

Holy cow, that's a HUGE agenda. Taxi from Delhi airport (generally rickshaw) should be no more than 300 rupees.
Next to the Hare Rama guest house in Paharganj is a good travel agent-- I shopped around quite a few, as you should do as well, for buses. Train tickets should be bought in the station at the tourist quota office, but we've been over that before, I think.
I have some contacts in Delhi (motorcycle "gang") that could give you a hand on some of these when you get there. India is not really a place where you can go to with a specific agenda beforehand, so be prepared for that.
PM me on this board for info if you want it. I've been known to travel a bit there.

Also, I have been to at least half of the places you list. . . I wonder why anyone would choose Jhansi or Gwalior or Kota (Kottakutta).

Ooty is ok if you like disneyesque hill stations, but I would recommend Munnar highly, and Coonoor, as well as a little known place called Marayoor.
Once your'e in Goa, it's easy to get around--but learn some Konkanee, and especially some hindi if you want to get the best price. The touts will literally be in your face. I have some connections in Goa as well as some recommendations for many places to stay, dine, and find transportation.
Funny thing about India, if you make a friend there, you make a friend for life.
