Bangkok-Beijing by bike

IPB Image
Saturday April 1st 2006, I will climb on my iron horse and start my Bangkok to Beijing bike adventure.
I will be leaving Bangkok, with as many bikers as possible. The first day/leg will bring us to Nakon Nayok.
You can return on Sunday, or join me for some extra miles.

If you cannot join me for the first legs, please do so on another. The trip will be taking 6 months, so there are opportunities enough to tag along... Note: I will take the scenic route, not the fastest, it is not a race!

1 woman | 2 wheels | 4 countries | 6 months | 8000km Please check my webpage for info and the route.

Tips & help are very much appreciated!
Hope top see you 'en route'.

Groetjes,
Linda.

Hi Linda

That sounds like a fabulous trip and I wish you all the best! I've recently been reading about the exploits of an English chap who cycled around the world in 4 years! His blog is here.

I love the idea of cycling across China - met someone in Beijing who had done it - but sadly I am allergic to exercise, even cycling 10 miles knackers me out! You say you are taking the scenic route: what is your planned range per day, how many km? What are you doing for accommodation - I take it you are bringing along a tent? How did you research what route / roads to take - some roads are extremely poor quality in that area of the world smile.gif So many questions!
