Namibia: Drive in Swapokmund dunes turned bad Jun 6, 2010 I was traveling with a group of friends in Namibia and I had a great time. On this tour we came to Swapokmund, Namibia and some of us decided to go on a desert tour with Tommy´s Tours and Safaris from Swapokmund. The little convoi consisted of 3 heavy Safari vehicals each with 8-9 people. Pretty late in the afternoon and on the way back one of the vehicals lost control crossing a dune. The car turned over and eight people were injured with lots of bruises and broken rips and shoulders. This is bad enough but the fact that Tommy of Tommy´s Tours does not want to take the responsibility and leave them alone with the pain and the costs of their medical treatments and all the other extras that come along with such an accident is shameful! People like Tommy and his associates count on the fact, that the "rich" tourists will be out of the country soon and all the litigating will vanish on the long distance haul. Shame on such a behavior and I think that a matter like this could have been handled a lot better if Tommy´s Tours and Safaris and his associates care about having tourists comming to their country and spend their money in Namibia.
