Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, co-written by Carole King and first recorded by The Shirelles in 1960. King included her own version in her 1971 album called Tapestries.

Amy Winehouse covered that song...i love Amy (just her music not her and her "issues")but the cover is a joke

Ummmmmmmmm, Gerre, that video is REALLY weird.

But the dumping conversation is hilarious.

Oh yeah I know, I hate the Amy Winehouse cover too. What was she thinking?!

Amy Winehouse is a little bit nuts I am thinking, someone needs to try and make her go to REHAB! And stay there for a few months..... sort her head out and whatever else!

ok ive been on a cd buying frenzy of late, just been inundated with alot of good music which prompted me 2 share my albums of '08 and most of my albums of this year are predominantly soul orientated

Duffy - Rockferry

She has become a massive worldwide star (and good on her) the album is primarily "wounded heart soul" as i call it and it is being re-released in november with a bonus disc thats like a whole new album...cant wait
Standouts: "Warwick Avenue" , "Steppping Stone" , "Mercy" , "Hanging on Too Long" & "Distant Dreamer"

Jamie Lidell - Jim
Awesome singer who i only discovered this year and this album is definately up there with the best of them for this year! a dance turned soul singer and it works on every level this album is far better than the album that proceeded it
Standouts: "Another Day" , "Green Light" , "Figured Me Out"

Paris Wells - Keep It
Australian r'n'b / soul singer whose debut disc i fell in love with absolutely love love this girl!!!
Standouts: "Being Your Woman" "Firetruck Man" " When It's Time" , "F**k Your Soul"

Little Jackie - The Stoop
love love love this new group. lead singer Imanni Coppola was solo before joining this duo and the result of this union is addictive fun pop. my guilty pleasure of this year and love the lyrical content of the songs...creative and fun!!!
Standouts: "The Stoop" , "Lol" , "Like You Better Before", "Go Hard or Go Home" , "The World Should Revolve Around Me" , "One Love"

Gabriella Cilmi - Lessons To Be Learned
The Australian success story of this year and the girl who swept the recent ARIA awards
the re-release has a awesome bonus live and acoustic disc well worth the money
Standouts: "Sanctuary" , "Sit In The Blues" , "Sweet About Me" , Got No Place To Go" , "Save The Lies"

Raphael Saadiq - The Way I See It
he has successfully recreated the sound of 60's / 70's motown with perfect ease love love this album!!
Standouts: " Just One Kiss" , "Staying In Love" , "Big Easy" , "Love That Girl"

James Morrison - Songs For You , Truths For Me
i lvoe James and his 2nd album is light years better than his first.
Standouts: "Nothing Ever Hurt Like You" , "Dream On Hayley" , "If you Dont Wanna Love Me" , "Precious Love" , "The Only Night"

Kings Of Leon - Only By One Night
one of my favourite bands and they didnt disappoint me
Standouts: "Sex On Fire" , "Closer" , "Notion"

Solange Knowles - Sol-Angel & The Hadley St Dreams
Solange sister of Beyonce surprised me greatly with this offering thats a throwback to a sound reminiscent of 60's motown. i still cant believe how much i love this album!!
Standouts: "6 O'Clock Blues" , "T.O.N.Y" , "I Decided" , "Would've Been The One"

Estelle - Shine
was surprised to find myself liking Estelle's album as i dont like her personally and can not stand "American Boy" but fact remains the album is good probably more than good and fits into my love of soul music nicely
Standouts: "Pretty Please" , "Magnificent" , "More Than Friends" , "Come Over"

Eli "PaperBoy" Reed & The True Loves - Roll With You
was so hard getting my hands on a copy of this album but so worth it!!!!!
Standouts: " Take My Love With You" , "The Satisfier" , "Am I Just Foolin Myself" , "Am I Wasting My Time" , "She Walks"

Nikka Costa - Pebble To A Pearl
This is my album of '08 hands down!!! Nikka has delivered a very very fine album and its her first on her new label with motown and fitting the album feels very much "Motown" shame she doesnt get enough commercial exposure as she is beyond talented
Standouts: "Cry Baby" , "Without Love" , "Someone For Everyone" , "Damn I Said It First" "Stuck On You"

also worth a mention i love Pink's new album "Funhouse" and Anastacia's new album "Heavy Rotation" & Ray LaMontagne' s "Gossip In The Grain"

maybe ppl care to share their picks of this year???

MIKA, Life in Cartoon Motion is a great one (Even though it's from last year)
Morcheeba, Dive Deep (Great great great great album)
Black Crowes, Warpaint (Also amazing if you like the typical 60s style rock music)
The Duhks, Fast Paced World (Great band, great shows, great memories)

Also Gerre, I have not heard any of these musics... can you link me up?

Signed up for an eMusic account a little while ago and now I've picked up stuff from Adam Harvey, Brandon Jenkins, and Dar Williams, and all three of them are quickly travelling up the "play count" list on iTunes.

It's just the band that everyone was raving about in this thread a while ago. They are finally coming to Canada.
