Hi,

My friend and I are driving our camper van thru Europe, and we would appreciate some advice on good camping grounds if anyone has experienced good (or bad so we know where to avoid).
We are on a budget so only need the basic necessities, like a shower and possibly a power hook up (tho not essential). I have tried searching the net but it is a bit of a nightmare!

Our planned destinations are FRANCE: Paris, Bordeaux SPAIN: Madrid, Seville, Barcelona etc. ITALY: Rome, Naples, Venice GREECE: Athens, Greek islands TURKEY: Istanbul CROATIA, HUNGARY: Budapest, AUSTRIA, SLOVAKIA, CZECH: Prague, POLAND, GERMANY: Berlin etc. NETHERLANDS: Amsterdam.

Thanks!! smile.gif

We will be doing Europe by RV for a few years starting this Sept ( combining it with a visa to Spain).Have you found mike and terri churchs book european camping? Great resource. There is also free camping in France on vineyards that you might want to check out.

Good luck!

Europe should only be done in a camper

Back in the days of pre-euro, it was a really cheap way to do this. Now is a different story.

Also, you will find that you can free camp in loads of places. If given the chance, I would go again tomorrow

Hi Jodi,
We're staying at Camping Village Roma and it seems pretty good. We're staying in a tent for 10 euro a night...not sure how much a camper is. Here's the website:
www.ecvacanze.it
also, their bar's website:
www.sunsethillroma.com
