Yep you got it...why bother with all those chemicals and wasted time and crap? It's just going to get washed off and your hair is just going to get messy once you get outside...

- You need somewhere that has good international airline service. Personally I'm not too excited about CA, but mainly cos that'd mean I have to deal with LAX. I flew out of San Francisco last time PURELY so I could avoid LAX! Maybe avoid UK too cos Heathrow is so damned expensive to fart in.
- You probably need somewhere that has a shoulder season in a time that suits most people - i.e. probably at holiday time - Easter perhaps (as most people get time off for that but it's not as family orientated at Christmas?) - obviously my comments right now are pretty western culture based, more input from others about good times is needed! Shoulder season would be important not only to avoid crowds but to make it more affordable for those who are traveling there.
- You might want to look at choosing a place that's 'central' (if there is such a thing) to increase opportunity to attend and potentionally allow locals to host visitors if they so chose.

Rachel, I just picked this one because I will be there anyway in 2010, if you want to plan another one sooner, in a better place go for it!

Oh, I was just throwing ideas about. If I'm able to I'd come, but I wouldn't count on it right now.
