My brother is in Mexico at the moment and he hopes to go to Cuba. He knows that the US Government are pretty touchy about anything Cuban....will he be ok to go on to the States with a Cuban stamp in his passport (so long as he doesn't bring back any cigars????)

I had no relevant experience to offer him, so I am turning to the fold for advice.

I think he'll be fine.

They don't really look through my passport when I give it to them at the Canadian border... They just look at my photo usually...however the Mexican border could be more stringent, I don't know...

Cuba doesn't stamp your passport. No one ever needs to know you were there.

Hi

I live on Roatan Island in the Western Caribbean and do not personally have any experience but run across folks quite often that have gone. What they have told me is:
1. Cuba does not stamp a US passport.
2. The US can get pretty ugly officially if they find out.
3. The Cuban government likes US tourists.

None of these folks ever had any problems, but as always be prepared and get well informed.
