My girlfriend & I are going to Peru for a month and are interested in visiting the Amazon to see as much wildlife as possible. We have been told that the Manu Reserve is the best place for wildlife.
Manu Nature Tours,
http://www.manuperu.com/, has said that they have space for us but online reviews have had negative things to say about their services. These reviews are from 2002 and 2005. Has anyone had experience with this expedition agency, recent or old? Are their guides familiar with the area and good at spotting wildlife? Do they have good accommodations?
If you have suggestions of alternative Amazon destinations that could also be helpful.
Any feedback would be great help,

DO NOT book with this company. They require a full payment in cash 30 days before the trip. We paid our full amount and they canceled our tour after we arrived in Peru for the tour. They said they would be glad to take us in April. We said we couldn't come back to Peru in April. We asked for our money back. They refused to refund our money for four people, which amounted to $4200. We filed a case with the Indicapi, which is the Tourist Bureau, but have received no refund as of yet. We had a very nice tour with Vilca Tours instead.
