Holy that is cheap. How do they do it? Is it like megabus? The tickets get more expensive as the boat fills up?

Always cheap for foot passengers cos majority of them go solely for the onboard duty free.

You can take a car over for 10 each way most of the time with SeaFrance, but if you want to stay more than 24hours or during european school holidays (most of the year!) its insanely expensive.

They are also competing against the Channel Tunnel which is quicker and not much more.

Hehe! They'll 'miss the boat' with me and John, we don't drink (well, John has the occasional pint), don't smoke, don't wear perfumes etc. so they won't get a penny from us for onboard duty free!! You are right though, that is where they are hoping to make their money.

Ours will be spent in France, on a yummy dinner!!

P&O are doing a simple offer of 25 each way for 5 day returns
So the other ferry companies are also trying to undermine them so one is offering
15 for a car
29 for a car AND Caravan
each way of course

I just love the way the Short crossing companies fight for clients it makes for good crossing prices for us who go over regularly

now waiting for the tunnel to get cheaper as well as the longer crossings
which are so over priced it's silly

so it is good

the website is simply www.ferrycheap.com I know some ferries are doing the 1 foot passenger trips again too

Why is it WE can spot the guy with the bag stuffed with tobacco and Customs & Excise can't
