so there are 2 beaches with similiar names "mooloolah and mooloolaba" that IS slightly confusing laugh.gif
i figured they had aboriginal names well not dicky beach and the other one laugh.gif
why is it referred to "glasshouse mountains" btw?

Nah mooloolaba is the beach mooloolah is more inland, just a small country town with nothing to do there wink.gif (well some bush walks and an old train tunnel - but yeah, not a great deal)

If you know Maleny (think big woolies protest - I know that hit the news nation wide) then mooloolah connects with Maleny, and theres a 5 star resort in one of the least likely places (you have to travel through cow paddicks and a tiny dirt road to get to it).

As for the glasshouse mtns, Thanks to Wiki -

The Glass House Mountains were named by James Cook as he sailed north up the coast of what is now Queensland in 1770 as part of his epic voyage aboard his ship HM Bark Endeavour. They were so called as the shape of the mountains reminded him of the huge glass furnaces (glasshouses) back in his native Yorkshire.
