Hi,

We are a couple (26 and 31 years old) backpacking through Thailand and Malaysia. We are on the last few days of our 60 day Thailand visa and would like to get some info on Malaysia / Brunei. We will be away from home for over a year so our budget is about $50 CAD /150 Ringgits per day- Is this possible? Any tips on Langkawi-Penang-Kuala Lumpur-Singapoure and Brunei (Sipidan Islands for diving) would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Laurie and Randy

I've never been to Thailand and Malaysia, but from what I hear about it, it's pretty cheap and $50 a day should do you well.

Where are you from, fellow Canadians? I live in Ottawa.
