And fish everyday. I'll miss chicken, pork, and beef...

Just kidding. Nobody said we'll be living alone right? Maybe I'll start a farm somewhere...

I just left that area. The fish was good - along with the veges and chicken.

The happiest places on Earth
Ryan Maloney

"Taking all things together on a scale of one to 10, how happy would you say you are?" With that question and global surveys, the folks at the World Database of Happiness have ranked 95 nations on a happiness scale.

Switzerland's citizens closely trail the Danish, each reporting an average happiness level of 8.1 (out of 10), followed by Iceland (7.8), Finland (7.7), Australia (7.7) and Sweden (7.7), all the way down to grim Moldova (3.5).

That speaks for itself.

Good stats! I love Switzerland, that would have to be near the top of mine aswell. I do feel quite sorry for the poor Moldovans though - I wonder what makes them so miserable...

I think it is the name of their country. Moldovia sounds like the country of mold. Maybe they would be happier if they lived in Goldovia, the country of gold.

I am still happy with my first choice - Switzerland.

I have been to Denmark and Switzerland and the latter is by far the more beautiful place.

Here is part of an article from Forbes Magazine.

Isn't it a tough question??? I really can't decide... I would probably pick some sort of island somewhere, because I think I've had enough snow in my life to justify that one...

I've been living in Ottawa for seven years now and the snow is SO GROSS. I've totally paid my snow-dues...

Then again, some place that's really flat like Holland would be nice, so I could bike everywhere without dealing with mountains and hills ... there must be some really flat islands out there... the Maldives maybe...but who knows if they will exist in the next few decades...

ive never seen snow and couldnt imagine gettin sick of it either but then again after seven years i prob would but i need to see it first hehe

What?! Never? Let me tell you....Missing NOTHING. Continue not seeing it if you can. Really, I've never been to hell, and it's not on my list. You just don't need to see Everything.
Coming to see you is on my list. For real. Jus Gimmee Time. Test if I don't mean it.

QUOTE(sianeth @ Apr 16 2008, 03:15 PM) *

On the contrary, all the cyclists I know want to live in the valleys so they can tackle all the challenging hills and be "at one with nature" or something like that.

My reasoning behind Australia is pretty much the outdoorsy culture and the sporting atmosphere they have over there... so quite weather and terrain dependent, but the attitude of the people also helps.

Don't you love the hills? I do for sure. The ride up is fun for the challenge and the ride down is fun for the thrill. The ultimate double billing. I'm having 'issues' this year which are keeping me off the bicycle and it's breaking my heart. Went for a walk last night though. Happy to report the Smells are just as amazing on foot!

Hmmm...yeah, that's true too... I still prefer a nice stretch of flat...along a canal or similar body of water...aww Ottawa, sometimes I love you for being you.

If Australia could be moved closer to Europe then it would be number one on the list smile.gif

I've moved around all my life so it would be hard to settle in one spot forever but if I had to then it'd probably be a country town in southern Italy because the weather is warm, the mountains and ocean are close by and it is close to Europe so there are lots of places to explore and endless holiday opportunities.
