We're searching tips about our inter-rail trip. We are mum and two girls aged 10 and 12 years. We're not interested in theam parks or beach.

So far we're planning to take the night train from Oslo to Copenhagen, then the night train (again) to Amsterdam, and stop for two nights in Delft.

After that we want to go to Paris. And then we're out of ideas It has to be on a budget, and I'm afraid to spend too much time sitting on the train. Any suggestions ?

You can also take a train from Paris to Barcelona. I did that in 2007 and it is soooo worth it! The train is not expensive. It's overnight and you can book all 4 bunks so you get an entire cabin to yourself for you and your daughters. Good luck!

Not interested in beaches and parks....okay...but what are your interests then?
And for how long?

I agree on a budget Spain is unbeatable...Barcelona and maybe Girona, Figueres are nice places to visit and food and lodging is very affordable. Plenty of things to see....

2 days in delft is nice...but there is a lot more to see in Holland...but all depends on your budget and taste....

Agree, Holland has a lot more to offer than Delft, try the south.
After France, get the TGV to Cannes, Nice and Monaco, very fun area to visit, even if you don't like beaches,. From there.. Italy of course.. Tuscany, Umbria, Rome
