As the dollar steadily shrinks, more and more people are hesitating on making that trip to France and/or Europe with good reason... its getting more and more expensive. However there is one way you can travel around France and the rest of Europe for a few months or more and that is by either volunteering or teaching English. The best time for either activity on short term basis is late spring and summer. One organization that helps match volunteers with people who need a hired hand is www.organicvolunteers.com WOOF program has been around for quite some time and is a good way to spend a reasonable amount of time in France as well as help the environment. There are al ot of other similar programs that can be found under "Volunteering in France".

While teaching English in France can be a long process if you don't have an EU passport, there are plenty of opportunities at English camps in France as well as the rest of Europe especially during the summer months for native English speakers. All that is really needed is a TESOL/TEFL Certificate. For more information you can visit www.thelanguagehouse.blogspot.com which provides helpful information on where to start. Again, there are a lot of programs that can be found under "Teaching English Abroad"

That's interesting, when I think of "teaching English abroad", I tend to think of Asia, thanks for reminding us, gyl!
