As normalcy returns to Kenya, several countries have lifted the travel advisory against the country, the latest being Canada. According to Canadian Trade Commissioner for Africa and Middle East, Ms Melanie Borgia, the measure was taken because calm had returned to the country. It wont be long before we start seeing loads of tourist coming down to Masai Mara National Reserve. Migration Season is just a couple ofv months away, have you booked your safari to avoid the last minute rush and dissappointment girl_cray2.gif due to lack of accommodation? book early and we meet in Mara

And noe The United States of America take the que by downgrading its travel advisory. Things seems to be going on well in Kenya.

After a month of political squables, the two protagonists in Kenya politics have settled on the cabinet. Though its a large one of 40 ministers ( pity us kenyans as we have to pay their salary) it is a positive step. we are now happy that we are out of the woods and that work can finally resume. We are looking forward to a brighter future with lots of ressettlements to be done for the internally displaced persons. Anyone wanting to volunteer?

Well that's good, what kind of work does Kenya need volunteers for? Or are you being sarcastic?

There is alot to be done. I was watching the news yesterday on our premier channel seeing the fear that is in the people. They are not ready to go back to there places due to the experience they had. they are traumatized. If they can be councelled and helped to ressettle. this is the priority of the government but will drag due to beaurocracy and now with the large cabinet, it might take longer.

I had a friends mother and father that went to a safari in kenya recently and they had a great time there, very recommendable.A safari in Kenya sounds like an awesome vacation particularly if you are into photographing precious wildlife. (Hopefully, you are hunting them either)

sO glad they had a great experience! But going on Safari in Africa is like visiting the Eiffel tower - everyone does it and then there's other more exciting things to do...

Sometimes feel frustrated that there's nt much coverage of other things to do in Africa. Went on tour with Core Africa and had an amazing time zip lining waterfalls, tasting wine and meeting local communities!

And it was like photography heaven, I was really trigger-happy smile.gif hyper.gif

smile.gif hope the other good things in africa are given more publishing

Hopefully people like you can do the publicizing of what else people can do while on vacation in Africa and quite frankly, for anyone coming from Europe or wherever seeing wildlife - which is not a daily encounter, roaming free in their natural habitat is a big deal!
