Train Calama (Chile) to Uyuni (Bolivia), No longer works

Drifter Group: Members Posts: 31 Joined: 31-October 07 Member No.: 102717 Nominate me as a Local Expert	We are probably not the first to find out, but the old train that did Calama to Uyuni stopped working 4 months ago and no news on whether it will start again. A pitty....

Drifter Group: Members Posts: 31 Joined: 31-October 07 Member No.: 102717 Nominate me as a Local Expert	Luckily not. We will take a bus from Calama. It will probably be more comfortable if not as exciting! We managed to get a company called "Frontera del Norte" to take us to Uyuni...well to the Bolivian frontier. Its based in Calama (Antofagasta street with Latorre street) $6,000 per person to the frontier. Goes Wednesdays and Sundays.
