Traveling to Ecuador? The Global Sustainable Tourism Alliance is looking for travel writers!
This is an unpaid travel writing opportunity for the Ecuador Sustainable Tourism Alliance - a USAID supported program working to increase economic benefits generated from tourism for rural communities in Ecuador. For more information on the GSTA, please visit www.gstalliance.org.
Volunteers are needed to collect content and write consistent descriptions of tourism products (i.e. hotels, tours, restaurants) in and around the following protected areas of Ecuador: • Corredor Ecoturístico Amazónico Yasuni Cuyabeno • Reserva Ecológica Cotacachi Cayapas - Parte Alta • Reserva Ecológica Manglares Churute • Parque Nacional Cotopaxi • Parque Nacional Machalilla • Reserva Faunística Chimborazo • Reserva Ecológica Cayambe Coca (Papallacta-San Rafael-Chaco-Oyacachi Circuit)
We’re looking for multi-talented, geographically savvy travel writers with the ability to produce quality content and descriptions. Volunteers will have the opportunity to work independently, while receiving guidance as needed. The schedule is very flexible, and the workload can be adjusted according to the amount of time available.
We are looking in particular for someone interested in developing skills as a travel writer, specifically of online content. Important qualifications include: proficiency in English and Spanish, solid writing ability, extremely detailed and organized. An interest in sustainable tourism and enthusiasm are also required!
