Another blog post from Vagabondish. A local recommends some interesting things to do in Hawaii.

#1 - Hike Diamond Head

#2 - Sand Beach

After you’ve descended the great heights, you should head over to Makapu’u or Sandy Beach on the eastern side of O’ahu.

#3 - Head Towards Electric Beach

It’s twenty-five minutes from Waikiki or Honolulu by car; by bus, a little over an hour.

#4 - Lastly, Visit the North Shore

Waimea Bay is stunningly beautiful.

Has anybody been to these places?

Is there anything that should be added?

Pearl Harbor and the Punchbowl
Iolani Palace
Byodo-In Temple*
The Polynesian Cultural Center can be cool
Hiking trails galore. Diamond Head is the most popular but Oahu is brimming with beautiful off the beaten path trails.

If you don't like crowds head far and fast from southern Waikiki to the North Shore as soon as possible smile.gif Also a major bonus if you like to surf.

When I went last year I found Ko Olina on the east side of Oahu a beautiful location to start boating then heading toward the northern part of the island. We saw lots of sea turtles and spinner dolphins on our way up.

I'm planning my itenerary for our next trip right now and would love to hear other suggestions on where to go and what not to miss. Hawaii is truly a breathtaking place as I know that we will return in the future sometime, but this will be our last trip to the islands for quite a few years.

to me Oahu is jsut one (and not the best) of the possible places to visit in Hawaii.
to me best place are Oahu and Big Island.

I spent my entire honeymoon in hawaii and I've got a detailed travelogue on my website.

unfortunately it is written in Italian!! ranting2.gif ranting2.gif

But..... I'm going to translate it in English quite soon. flowers.png

in the meantime try to have a look to my web phot galleries:

Oahu

Kauai

Big Island
