Hi All, Just wanted to post some general about El Salvador and the small colonial town of Suchitoto. First off I have been living in El Salvador since 1994 and have travelled extensively within the country. El Salvador is the smallest of the central american countries and is easy to explore on local busses. El Salvador best national resourse is it's people, by far the friendliest in CA. Combine that with it being undiscovered, with very few tourist but with enough infrastructure to accomadate every class of traveller from backbackers to billionaires, making it a great place to visit.
If you are considering travel to El Salvador look me up or write directly for more specific information or check out [The Other El Salvador] for general information about El Salvador travel or Suchitoto
for information about Suchitoto, where I live. If you want to see more about what brought me to El Salvador you can visit the web site of Palo Alto Friends Friends Meeting El Salvador Projects.
Otherwise feel free to write me directly.
Give El Salvador a chance, you won't be dissapointed.
Saludos from Suchitoto

Yes the beaches on the west coast of El Salvador are spectacular and some of the best surfing in Central America. The beaches of Zunzal, El Zonte, Punta Roca now offer several restaurants, hotels, surf camps and some night life.
Although not for surfers the Beaches of the Costa del Sol and east are beautiful.
One should always be aware of the strong undertow that is common across the entire Salvadorian coastline. If your not a good swimmer be careful.
Salvadorians by habit go to the beach or for that matter anywhere there is water for their vacations so the beaches get packed for Easter week, the August vacations and on weekends during the Christmas vacations.
One of my favorite beaches for its natural beauty is the black sand beach of El Spino.
Anyway enjoy the beach
