I am looking at traveling from Mexico City to the city of Tlaxcala on bus. Does anyone have any idea how long the bus ride could be?

Do you mean Tlaxcala de Xicohtencatl? It's near Puebla. It seems to me you will have to get a bus to Puebla and change. From Mexico to Puebla is just 60 miles, so the ride can't be more than an hour and a half. Buses seem to run at least every half hour. Here's a link: http://www.estrellaroja.com.mx/
