there's a lot of unemployment in Jamaica and loads of competition for jobs.. bar work that is available is insanely low paid bordering on slavery.. if you were to find a job, officially you would need a work visa and they are hard to get..
the place you want to go is St. Maarten or Antigua and go to the harbours full of the expensive yachts and start washing the sides, it's well paid and if you're charismatic enough you can go out and travel the islands.. check my blog in those islands for the places to stay that will offer work..
