My great-grandfather grew up there on a farm before he moved to Chicago, and so it has always had a bit of a calling to me. Are there any hidden treasures that you can think of outside of Omaha? Tourist Group: Local Expert Posts: 520 Joined: 24-September 09 Member No.: 375741	I last lived in the US in Omaha. If you exclude Omaha, I would venture to Lincoln, where University of Nebraska is located (also the capitol). There is a pretty good local music scene there (as well as in Omaha) where you can enjoy a good evening. I am sure that one of the people on the forum with more recent info than I can offer you some further info as well as the cheesy road stops.
