I would appreciate any feedback on the following hotels in Argentina. Are they centrally located?
BA - Claridge Hotel
Mendoza - Cordillera Hotel
Puerto Madryn - Peninsula Hotel
El Calafate - Posada Los Alamos
Thanks
Bonnie
Claridge is quite pricy (by my standards) but a nice traditional hotel in a quiet area of downtown close to Calle Florida and easy walking to most downtown sights and shops. If you are looking for a more classy area, look to La Recoleta and Palermo.
Cordillera is an unpretentious and standard tourist/business Holiday Inn style hotel. Decent prices and quite well located. Watch out for street view rooms in any hotel due to noise.
I can’t help with Puerto Madryn and Calafate I’m afraid. I always check out Trip Advisor as they seem to have reviews on just about every hotel in the world. Take the comments with a pinch of salt though, as there are an awful lot of grumblers out there.
Cheers
