If you are taking your gap year then we are urgently looking for two more volunteers for this extremely worthwhile community project in Malawi. This is then followed by a fantastic adventure through Southern Africa.
If you don't know much about Malawi, it is a tiny African country bordered by a huge lake. The people are amazing - some of the friendliest in Africa (so that's saying something!).
The project is set in a small village and if you choose to volunteer on this trip, you will be helping to build a classroom - you will be surrounded by the children and communities - who will be looking to learn as much from you as you learn from them. The project is really important to the local community and you'll be welcomed by singing and dancing and will no doubt have a few tears in your eyes when it comes to leave 6 weeks later.
After the volunteering, you get to spend 6 weeks travelling (adventure style with your group) round Malawi, Zambia, Mozambique and South Africa - you will get to learn to dive, go on safari, go on a canoe safari, visit the salt flats, the okavango delta, Vic Falls and much more.
There are currently 14 people aged 18-22 heading away with Quest Overseas on 5th March but we need two more people. If you're interested, please contact Beth on 01444 474744.
If it sounds good but the timing is wrong, we do also have trips for sabbatical volunteers and shorter summer trips.
