I'll post this in both relevant country subs...
me and a mate are flying out to india on/around 2nd march. we have found a cheap flight through air india express, but we can't get the damned online payment system to work. we get so far, then it dies on us. she's phoned the company and they don't take credit card bookings over the phone for some ridiculous reason.
the cost is about 4,000 baht each, so it's a flight we're really interested in booking as the next cheapest i've found is around 8,000baht +...
anyone know about this lot (i think they're a subsidiary of air india) and whether there's been any problems with their system (apart from us of course). she's in korea at the moent, so we know it's almost certainly an issue their end.
OR does anyone have another idea? our plan is to fly to kolkata, take a train to varanasi, then another to agra, then another to delhi and fly to kathmandu - we've already got this flight so must get to delhi by the 8th march. she can't get to bangkok until 30th feb because of her teaching contract.
all help gratefully gobbled up...!
EDIT: ok, before you run off to do loads of research for me (i know you want to...), here's an update. my travel buddy has managed to sort it all out (nearly). apparently, the air india express site doesn't like/accept bookings using certain isp addresses... ie from certain countries - 2 of which obviously are thailand and korea. she ended up getting her bro in the uk to buy them, easy as pie, and we'll reimburse him asap.
the other problem, nearly solved, is that she booked two tickets through 'makemytrip' from delhi-kathmandu, and only one booking was registered/paid for. but it's, allegedly, being sorted now.
