Nominate me as a Local Expert
Paraguay is defintely one of the least visited countries in SA. My fiance and I spent a couple weeks volunteering in this (hot!) country. I am really glad we got to see places sooo far off the tourist route!

Hi Andrea,

Paraguay is indeed off the usual tourist path, which is a shame. When there I visited the amazing Mennonite settlement at Filadelfia before they surfaced the road. Read about it here: http://www.latinamericanstudies.org/paraguay/mennonites.htm.
I then took an awful road across the Chaco to Brazil, from where I visited Mato Grosso and the Pantanal. Who says there are no adventures left in this world? That's one tough trip!

Sadly, my husband and I didn't have the time when we were in SA but it's definitely on my list too. I've heard some great things about Paraguay and wouldn't mind finding out for myself smile.gif
