we are travelling to spain next august for some hiking in the pyrenees ,then picos de europa , and the sierra nevada's . We are having a little difficulty working out how to get from Santander to Panes to get to Arenas for the start of the Picos hike ,it seems the ALSA bus from Santander goes a very long route does anyone know of another option?
Also in the Sierra Nevadas we are travelling in from Granada does anyone know if you can depart from either Capiliera or Travelez directly to Almeria
Many thanks for any assistance

Would it not be faster to go back to Madrid before going to Arenas?
